Our top eight tips for enabling activity and wellness at your event

Are you wondering how you can make your conference or corporate event more active or wellness focused?

Here are our top tips for doing just that:

1. Choose a venue with outdoor and indoor spaces. Don’t forget to check costs for hiring extra spaces.
2. Consider your attendees when choosing your activities. While some may relish the sound of bobsleigh racing or pole fitness, others may wilt at the very thought!
3. Consider timings. For early bird activities, start the rest of the day’s content a bit later to give people time to take part, shower, eat and get ready for the day ahead.
4. Consider what equipment you’ll need, costs can soon mount up and exercise doesn’t have to cost a fortune, or even anything at all.
5. Consider walking meetings. Movement can happen at any time of your event day so no need to restrict to a fitness session.
6. Focus on the mind as well as the body, remember not everyone will want to feel the burn.
7. Support any activities with healthy food options and opportunities to hydrate.
8. Communicate what activities are available and make them optional (respect people’s right to choose).
