The aim of this 3 day conference was to bring the UK team together after a long period of time working virtually, to create a sense of reunion, reconnection and to celebrate being together again. The event theme was ‘Unstoppable Energy’ and the client wanted to make the event as memorable as possible by incorporating a variety of different activities and social events in addition to the key daytime content elements.
The pandemic had put this event on hold for 2 years and the weight of anticipation was huge!
Before the Event
Working closely with our client and their brief we devised a proposal to plan, design and deliver creative theming for the whole event. This included 2 evenings of original entertainment, fun, energising activities and exercise classes every day to complement the business agenda and keep minds & bodies engaged. We also designed and produced branded presentation materials to support the business workshops.
Day One
This was the first time that staff were not just seeing each other for 2 years but in many cases meeting for the first time.
The venue we had sourced provided the perfect space for a professional conference and unusual breakout and party spaces.
After the day’s ‘work’ was done, and on the longest day of the year, Twist delivered a spectacular midsummer themed party and Awards. Colourful bunting, festoon lighting, vintage wooden furniture with wild flowers and firepits, and the mellow sound of an acoustic guitarist set the tone for a relaxed summer evening, perfect for the vibe the client wanted to achieve.
Day Two
The day began with a high energy Zumba class and ended with a glowing night immersive experience incorporating the dynamic use of audio and video projected onto large 4m screens to create an exhilarating atmosphere, the buzz of Times Square, New York and the wonder of Tokyo, with legendary karaoke and neon dancing.
Day Three
A gentle yoga class held under a cedar tree in the grounds of the hotel was the ideal way to start the final day after the party the night before and much fun was had with the photobooth and green screen, not to mention the smoothie bikes.
The Result
